Family cruising is the most underrated travel format for parents of kids 4+ — kids' clubs run all day, you unpack once, and there's a babysitter built into the price. The hard part is picking the right line. Disney is premium and themed. Royal Caribbean is the all-rounder. Carnival is value. Norwegian is flexible. MSC is European-style. Princess and Holland America do multi-gen the best.

Which cruise line is the most family friendly?

For most families, Disney Cruise Line. Its nursery takes babies from 6 months, Oceaneer Club runs for ages 3 to 10, and tweens and teens get their own Edge and Vibe spaces. Royal Caribbean matches the 6-month nursery on most ships and adds bigger water parks. Carnival is the value pick, with Camp Ocean from age 2.
